Michael lives in all of us.
No matter where you have met him - on the screen, on the stage, in books or in real life, Michael lives in all of us who have been moved by him. To honour his artistry and deeds, Michael Nyqvist Foundation will continue what Michael started: to highlight and advocate the art form of acting and its ability to create understanding and diminish conflict.
Michael Nyqvist Foundation Award will be awarded annually by the Foundation to someone who works in his spirit. If you wish to pay your respects to Michael and make sure that his view of the world is spread, you are most welcome to contribute to the Foundation. That way, we can ensure that his intention lives on.
Michael Nyqvist Foundation is set up on Catharina Nyqvist Ehrnrooth's initiative. The members of the board select the recipients of Michael Nyqvist Foundation Award.
